      Interview

The interview consists of 6 stages. I applied through campus placement. The first round was resume short listing and out of 600+ students they shortlisted 107 students The second round was aptitude exam It was online and it included general aptitude questions and few programming MCQs The third round was programming round which was offline and only 26 out of 107 people were qualified from previous round. In this round the company person gave two questions alternately for students. My question was to take and array and convert the odd indexed numbers into roman numbers. And if the number is greater than 10, then divide the number into two numbers and convert seperately. Another question which my friend got was based on strings. Where you’re supposed to read a string and convert the vowels into ascii and then into octal values. After this round they selected 12 students for technical interview which took place offline after 30 mins of the programming round I was the first person in technical interview and I was quite nervous. Focus mainly on Java. Atleast you should know 10% of basic knowledge and syntaxes of all the concepts of Java. They asked me multiple questions which includes OOPs, abstraction, inheritance, polymorphism, method overloading, method overriding, the differences between the latter, string functions, arrays, data structures, collections, exceptions, etc Basically all the topics were covered. The interviewer gave me a price of paper to write sample codes for most of these concepts The next round was managerial round The manger was very friendly and started introducing about himself and asked me if I had any questions. I asked few general questions and he started asking me questions based on my resume. They ask you about each and every project and certificate. Later her gave me a project idea : “imagine a person wants to catch a metro or a bus and he’s some x km away from the station. By his speed of walking tell the person if he’ll be able to catch the train” he asked me what can I do in this project and have me some time to think. I told him we can calculate the speed of the person, and speed of the train and comparing these two we can check if the person can catch the train. He told me to explain in terms of programming. After I explained he asked about data structures and how efficient I am and asked me which data structure I can use here. After answering everything he asked me how much I will rate myself out of 5 and I told him 4/5 After this I was called for HR interview The HR asked me basic questions about all the projects I did and asked me if I’m willing to take a course in Java. I told her I already stared and she asked me where I’m learning from. I told her the website names where I learnt. And finally she asked if I had any questions. I honestly didn’t have anything to ask but I still asked some general questions about the company. Except the aptitude round everything else took place on the same day. It started around 11 am and by 1:30 pm I had finished all rounds of interview. By 3:30 they finished the interview of the rest students and only 4 students were offered job in which I was one
