I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at DXC Technology (Conway, AR) in Mar 2019
Interview
Had a phone screen with the manager, and then a group interview scheduled later that week. Group interview was done via conference call, and went really smoothly. Was given an informal offer within 24 hours, which I informally accepted. The rest of the process went slowly -- I was handed off to a recruiter for the background check and employment verification process, but we got that done and my start date set about a month after I informally accepted.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at DXC Technology in Jun 2017
Interview
I was contacted by one of their recruiters through LinkedIn. He asked if I would be interested in speaking to him about the role but obviously pasted the wrong job description in the message. That was red flag number 1.
We schedule a phone interview and when the day arrived, I was called by his coworker to tell me he wasn't with the company anymore, so I would have to reschedule. When the date of the next interview attempt came, I was left hanging for an hour and then told through email that my new interviewer had lost her voice so we would have to reschedule.
I followed up with some emails but then I never heard back for about 3 weeks. One day, I get another call from that same recruiter saying that she didn't forget about me and would call me tomorrow at at 5:30 p.m. Yet again, I waited for an hour and AGAIN got stood up. Incredible.
To add insult to injury, she did end up calling me that day...almost at 9 p.m. and while I was in a crowded mall without a single support material or even a chair. She still insisted to do it, and it went as well as it could have been expected.
If this is how this company operates, I think I might have dodged a bullet (but lost a lot of time).
