I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Dell Technologies (Beersheba) in Feb 2021
Interview
First was a phone interview (1) with the recruiter, in which they gave details about the position and looked for preliminary fit for it.
After it, there was an introductory interview (2) with the Dell member under whom I would later work directly, which contained, in addition, an elementary coding question. At the end of that interview, I received a fairly regular data science home assignment (here's a dataset, let's see what you can do with it).
Then there was an interview with a data science group lead (3), in which I presented my work on said home assignment. A big plus was that much emphasis was put, aside of the technical part, on business understanding and communication skills.
Later, on a single day, were the team lead introductory interview (4) and the HR interview (5).
In general, the process' attitude was very professional and friendly. Interview scheduling was done through the recruiter.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
A cumulative sum of number array question, in which certain loci are omitted for each locus.
First step is to have a recruiter call in which they will assess your interest in the job and will give an idea of daily work. They will also give you an idea of next interview processes. Then the detailed technical interview may cover coding as well as oral session.
3 stages.
Deep dive on 2–3 key projects
Discussion of business problem → approach → trade-offs → impact
Light technical probing (not LeetCode style)
Stakeholder management and ownership
Structured thinking under ambiguity
Ability to connect data → decision → action
Depth, not breadth of tools
