Took 1.5 month to schedule a call from a recruiter. I waited for the recruiter to join the scheduled Teams call for about 30 min. She eventually rang my number after that to tell me that she had trouble using Teams. Why after 30 min? The call was customary and barely scratching the surface. She was just repeaing the content of the job description and she was not able to hold or answer indepth questions about the job and department. She is Phillipino and the conversation was like speaking with a call center operator from Phillipine. It was a complete waste of time and I wonder if this "recruiter prescreening" call is necessary at all. A wasteful resource, not only of this under-performing "MNC" but more of our candidates' precious time! Dell has had many rounds of layoffs recently, 2024 and 2025 and I am surprised these non-productive headcounts are kept around for these unproductive internal process!
