      Technical Problem Solver Interview

      24 Apr 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Epic in Apr 2017

      Interview

A recruiter reached out to me and invited me to apply to this position. I submitted my resume and then a day later they sent me a Rembrandt personality assessment and this really long intelligence assessment. The personality test took about a half hour and the intelligence assessment took two hours. There was a section about learning a programming language, two mini speed tests, and then a larger exam that alternated between math questions and logic questions. It was a very long process and this was all before the first Interview. When I finally got the phone interview, the interviewer was really nice and it was a relaxed experience. She asked about my career goals, why I wanted the role, and if I was okay with traveling. She said the position travels about 3-4 times per client each year and has 4-6 clients. Each traveling session could take weeks. So this role has a lot of travel. I asked her about the long hours that other reviews have mentioned and she said that it's difficult to turn down working extra so the average person in this role does work about 50 hours a week. I didn't get invited to interview in Madison and was sent a generic rejection letter. I didn't take offense to this because I'm just graduating undergrad and my interviewer, in the position I was applying for, had a graduate degree in applied mathematics from Northwestern University... so why they recruited me for a role that is filled by a graduate degree is beyond me.
