      Software Developer Intern Interview

      14 Mar 2013
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Epic

      Interview

Round 1: HR round with basic HR questions, just to ensure you are still interested in the intern, and you have the right communication skills. I received a mail later stating that I will be required to take a Skills Assessment Test at a local proctor center. Round 2: The skill assessment test is timed, and though it is important to get each and every answer correct, also keep an eye on the clock. It consists of 3 rounds, first, a 2 minute round of math and verbal. Second, some questions about a language that they make up. These questions are mostly syntax related and honestly, the first 2 rounds don't require any preparation. The third round is the most important round. Had 4 coding questions, and I think this is the make or break round. Had a lot of hopes on it as I had done decently well in all the rounds but, received a mail after 3 weeks(the wait is the worst part) saying they have proceeded with other candidates.

      Question 1

If you go through all the questions on the popular interview-related sites, you will have a very good indication. Some questions do repeat. One question that I can remember is on 'multiplicative encryption'. It is not a complex one, we need to replace the letters a-z with a corresponding letter and a simple equation they specify.
