      Word Artist Interview

      Difficult interview

      Application

      I interviewed at Epic

      Interview

Applied online and did a phone interview. The phone interview was very pleasant and the person I spoke to was very personable and friendly. No trick questions were asked. Then I had to do a personality assessment and a skills test. The skills test is done through a different website, and there is a proctor supervising you while you do the test. The test was supposed to be 2 hours but ended up taking up my whole day because of technical issues. (The proctor received access to my mouse and was trying to help me troubleshoot....). The skills test was very difficult for me. There was a section where you have to learn a coding language. You also have to solve a series of word and math problems in 2 minutes. A week later I received an email saying they were pursuing other candidates.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Epic (Madison, WI) in Jun 2019

      Interview

It was a very long process that first involved a phone interview with a current employee that was filling the position I applied for. There were a few questions for me, but the majority of it was the employee describing the type of work that might be done. After the phone interview there was a two hour test scheduled (which did take two hours and dealt with learning to code on the spot even though this position did not involve coding), a personality type test which took about half an hour, and a short response portion. Each was scheduled about a week apart, and so the whole process took a very long and slow time. They did stay in touch with me quite frequently and so there was a bit of an illusion of things happening quickly.
