I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Expedia Group (London, England) in Nov 2017
Interview
Poor from the start and incompetent Expedia recruiter offering zero feedback.
I first got in contact in May 2017, and followed up when there was a position available. I had a call from the person who I had been speaking with for months and literally a few days before the call. He had not obviously kept a record of any of our conversations, introducing himself at Expedia as I was a brand new prospect.
He continued then throughout the process to get literally every email/call response wrong having to send his emails twice, simply wasting both of our time. One example being the start times of the face to face interview which was in completely the wrong city. Even after I had finally confirmed the time and date correctly, I had an email 2 days later asking what days I can make the meeting and times. It was extremely stressful and unsettling when I have a busy schedule as it is. Setting up meetings and admin really is basic junior procedure.
The most frustrating aspect was that that he offered no feedback even when he said he would call and give feedback for people, even if they would not be offered the position. I simply received an email to say 'sorry on this occasion we have decided not to offer you the position.' I followed up asking for feedback, but nearly 2 weeks on I have had no reply.
I thought Expedia was suppose to be a company with innovative and slick process and knowing the importance of offering valuable feedback to candidates who have made the time and effort to see the company and add to their KPI's. Nothing at all was impressive and simply a stressful waste of time.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Give an example of a time that you had a personal challenge, and what you did to overcome it?
Was well coordinated. Had 3 rounds of interview with management level, excluding the preliminary round with HR. The process was smooth and the interviewers were friendly and high professional. They were genuinely trying to know if you are a good fit for the role and team.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Expedia Group (London, England) in Aug 2025
Interview
There were 3 rounds in the interview process, the first round was with HR, the second with an Area Manager and the third with the Director of Market Management. There was a case study in the last round but other than that it was just behavioral questions. The first two rounds were amazing but if I could give the interviewer a rating for my final interview, this would be a 0/5. He was not at all friendly nor personable, he cut me off in the middle of my presentation and did not even bother to discuss or give feedback on the case study. When applying for a role in which relationship management and personability are significant, I'm shocked that a Director would not have this. I only found out I didn't get an offer when after a month since my last interview I checked the job portal to see I was not selected. This was after chasing HR for an update (of course there was no response). In hindsight, I'm glad I dodge a bullet joining this team.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Expedia Group (Dublin, Dublin) in Jan 2025
Interview
First stage was a short call with the TA to clarify fit, also was informed that there would be four stages, one of which would be a business case. Second stage was with 2 market managers, third was then with a country manager.
