I interviewed for the Ford College Graduate program for Zone Managers. I met their recruiters at a career fair. They were really great and I throughly enjoyed the team present. I even geeked out with one of their employees about Ford' Smart Mobility division. I got scheduled to do an on-campus interview. That good feeling from the career fair was instantly gone when I met the interviewers they sent. I consider myself to be comfortable in uncomfortable situations, but these "bros" were too much for me. They ask a lot of behavioral questions about what you would do as a zone manager given a specific situation. Study up on the role and be prepared to look at a balance sheet and give them a review of what actions you should take with the given info. They pushed me a lot on my major (Econ) and why I would apply for this role given my background, so I don't fully understand why they would give me an interview if they felt my area of study wasn't a good fit. They asked me why I was interested in Ford and started talking about Ford initiatives that I thought were cool ( I follow this industry closely) and they just gave me some blank stares and seemed to have no clue what their own company was exploring. I'm still in the process of learning if I am moving forward, but if extended an offer, I'll probably decline.
