      Sales Development Representative Interview

      26 Apr 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Glassdoor (San Francisco, CA) in Mar 2015

      Interview

I applied online, they called a few days later. After answering a few questions, they asked me if I had any questions for them. Being that the location of their headquarters is home to the highest cost of living in the US, I asked where most people lived that commuted to the office, etc. They seemed very flexible and like a good company to be a part of, I don't feel as if the interviewer understood a lot of my experience that I was trying to convey, as I worked in two opposite departments for opposite companies (one in sales, one in supply chain), and she bundled my experience together because one was for a company that did work with basketball and the other was for a company that held golf events. "So you basically seem like you only like sports, are you sure you'd want to work with us?"

I appreciate you sharing your interview experience and also thank you for taking the time to talk to us. It sounds like you may not be local to the area; I can understand the questions you had about the commute and living in the SF Bay Area. We are in a great location that many people easily commute to from other Marin cities, East Bay and SF. In fact, from the Marina in San Francisco it is an 11 minute commute. Our team comes from various backgrounds, but the one thing that they all have in common is that they are very competitive. Many of them are into sports, which it sounds like you are. It's interesting that you mention Golf - we have one SDR on the team who worked at a golf course prior to joining us. We also have other friendly competitors on the team that have shown competitiveness in academics, the arts, running, and in previous work history. Thank you, Eric Gonzalez Senior Manager, Sales Development

      Interview

I met Marijka and Caroline who made me feel so at ease from the second I walked in the door. They were both chatty and bubbly and allowed for a very open conversation. It was around my background and how my experience can relate to the position. A few competency based questions thrown in too. Mainly about what motivates you and your growth mindset. The interview was 45 minutes and the a 30 minute role play.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Glassdoor (Dublin, Dublin) in Feb 2020

      Interview

Overall interview process was one of the nicest interviews I’ve had. First phone call with recruiter, (informal and get to know you and a bit on your background) This lead to an on site interview the following week with two sales managers. Two genuine lovely women who I connected with immediately. 45 mins of competency based interview questions Then a 15 minute mock call.

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Glassdoor (Dublin, Dublin) in Feb 2020

      Interview

I had a phone screen with a recruiter who went through why I wanted to work there and general questions such as why I’m looking to move and my salary expectations etc. I then had a face to face interview with manager which was a 45 minute competency based interview and then a 15 minute qual call that I had to prepare for and I also had to prepare a question that was asked in the interview - how I would secure 100 opportunities in a quarter.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

How I prepared for the interview? What I know about glassdoor? How I perform in teams? How I like to be managed? My 5 year plan?
