Interview proces was excellent. Major focus was on coding part. Team working capablities was also checked. Some question related to academics was asked. Statistical modeling and their risk and how to deal with that.
I recently went through the interview process at Goldman Sachs for a data-focused role (Data Scientist / Data Engineer / Quantitative Analyst, etc.). Overall, it was a well-structured and professionally managed experience, though quite rigorous—as expected from a top-tier financial institution.
The interview process typically involves the following stages:
Initial Screening – A recruiter or hiring manager will have a brief call to discuss your background, experience, and interest in the role.
Technical Interview – You may be asked to complete a coding assessment or solve data science problems using Python, SQL, or machine learning concepts. This could be a live coding session or a take-home assignment.

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Goldman Sachs (Salt Lake City, UT) in Aug 2024
