I'm thankful that I went through 1 round of interview with HR and hiring manager and another round with hiring manager and the co-working team. All went really well and there was strong rapport with the hiring and the co-working team.
There were a couple of phone calls with HR to discuss the expected salary, references check and security checks (G50) and then followed by a long silence until I followed up and realized that my expected salary was beyond what they can meet. The HR mentioned that they will try to work something out but there wasn't any offer or closure mentioned. I initiated a call with the HR after a month and likewise no closure and was told to wait further as mentioned they want to sort out their strategy. It's been more than 3 months now since the last conversation and I have dropped the idea of pursuing further.
I am truly disappointed with Govtech and it's highly unprofessional for representatives of government body to portray such behavior. I will not recommend them to any future job seekers.
I'm still thankful for the experience. It could have been worse if I would have joined them and discovered such unprofessionalism.
