      QA Engineer Interview

      Application

I interviewed at Hanson Wade in Feb 2026

      Interview

A very bizarre process that started off with the hiring manager mysteriously going awol - no details were provided as to her whereabouts. The entire process was paused for 2 weeks and then I got a call back to continue the process. After a SIX stage intervieew (yes, SIX interviews that included an assignment AND presentation) I was told by someone in HR, that wasn't part of the initial interview process, that the team liked me and wanted to take me on but didn't have a hiring manager to sign-off on the role (!) Fast forward 2 weeks later and the role goes live again. My suspicion is that they're using candidates to complete live projects under the false pretense of seeing how one works in order to meet deadlines. NOT WORTH IT!
