I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at HubSpot (Dublin, Dublin) in Mar 2018
Interview
My first step was a video screening with an in-house recruiter who was really nice. She asked me questions about my CV and told me about HubSpot’s mission and products. Afterwards, I was asked to complete a written assessment to showcase my experience in project management and knowledge of localization. The next step would have been an interview with the hiring manager, but unfortunately I got rejected before that happened.
I really wish I could have spoken to the hiring manager before completing the written assessment. I spent several hours working on it, so it was very disappointing to see the outcome knowing I was not given much of a chance to figure out the expectations for the role.
At the same time, I feel like HubSpot did not get a chance to get to know me (or any other candidates rejected at the same stage), which I found surprising considering their strong focus on company culture. I thought they would make an effort to get to know the person sooner rather than later to assess if they are a good fit for the team.
Overall, my experience interviewing for this role was neutral, not negative. The recruiter did a great job at keeping me informed and offered feedback after the rejection. I know companies have no obligation to provide feedback, so I really appreciate that HubSpot (and this recruiter in particular) had the courtesy to do that.

Standard screening questions (previous and current experience, motivation to change jobs, salary expectations)
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at HubSpot (Dublin, Dublin) in Jan 2019
Interview
6 interviews, one via phone with HR, one with the future manager and a panel of 4, and a written test for skills assessment. In the end and after receiving really good feedback from everyone, no one gave me an answer (yes or no) and they let over a month go by without even sending an email. I ended up having to contact them, and all I got was an email apologizing for not getting back to me, and the position had been filled.
