I submitted an application online that was followed by a phone screen, a 30 minute discussion with the Hiring Manager Kate Moran, followed by and home assessment and a third round interview in which I had four 30 minute conversations with members of the team. I found the whole process remarkably well thought-out. As a lifelong learner I found the process introduced me to topics I will continue to look deeper into! I was lucky enough to attend a recent #crackinginclusion event in the Dublin offices organised so well by Kate Moran. Here I met Katie Burke and some of the wider team. I left the evening feeling energised and proud to soon be part of the team! Also, a big thanks to Katie McKvoy for being an absolutely brilliant recruiter! She was so helpful throughout. I am so very excited to have been selected to join the team here at HubSpot, and can't wait to start contributing to the truly unmatched culture!!

Before interviewing at HubSpot, I had never felt so valued as prospective employee. I felt like Katie Burke and the rest of the team were genuinely interested in getting to know me and asked questions that facilitated more of a conversation than an "us vs. you" interviewing experience. HubSpot really practices what it preaches. While many potential employers have looked at my resume and dismissed it due to my experience in multiple sectors (assuming perhaps a lack of focus), HubSpot recognized and embraced my sense of curiosity. The Culture Team also empowered me and made me feel like I could make a significant contribution to the company despite my young age; I felt this was unique, as most other companies I applied to during my job search abided by the "lowest on the totem pole" mentality. Although I wasn't selected for the initial position I applied for, Katie Burke went out of her way to find a place for me at HubSpot because she felt like I was a good culture fit and had something of value to offer. To me, that's the sign of a company that knows its people are truly its greatest asset and the kind of place I want to work for, no matter my job title. Also, shout out to Christiaan Ballard for being an absolutely amazing recruiter! She was incredibly warm and welcoming throughout the entire process, and I really appreciated that she gave me feedback on my performance after every step. Teach me your ways, Christiaan. Can we be friends please?
