Multiple interviews: screening, meeting with the hiring manager, interview panel (1:1 with 3-4 people), presentation, then next level up (VP). Preparation was really important. Focus on providing examples following CAR - Context, Actions, Results. HubSpot is very results/outcome and metrics-driven. YOU MUST solidify your answers with results and use metrics where you can. I made sure to ask my recruiter questions about the interview process and how to prepare and I followed her guidance. Also, the presentation was key in differentiating myself from others. I spent 20 hours creating, scripting and practicing the presentation. Make sure you give yourself time to do this work. Take time off to prepare if needed. Don't go through 5-6 interviews only to skimp on the presentation part, because I learned it was the deciding factor between me and the other candidate. HubSpot not only wants to confirm you have the right experience and that you align with the HEART values, but also they want to see how you think. The presentation is what you use to show you can bring all the pieces together in a coherent way and show you have good business acumen.
