The process and focus will be slightly different for each team and even for a single position. There are the mandatory 3 to 4 rounds (or more) of interviews and talks to go through with the usual interview questions and portfolio reviews if applicable.
The interview was very smooth. It felt more like a conversation than an interview. They really value the design process behind each project and the design behind the work.

Question 1
Share about a project, what is your role in the project?
I applied online. I interviewed at IDEO in May 2022
Interview
The interviewer seemed like she was in a rush. She will introduce the role and then she will ask you a few standard questions. They will ask you about your salary expectations.
It was a multi interview process. Met with different people to review both my work and also evaluate me as a culture fit. Back when I was interviewing it was pre-covid so was in person. The position was for an interaction designer. Not sure if that designation is still relevant or if there are more specific job positions now.
