I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Intel Corporation in Apr 2012
Interview
I got the interview set up through a job placement company and it took about 2-3 weeks to have it set up as part of a large group of job-seekers. When the interview finally took place, each one of us had to wait our individual turns to interview with one of the five recruiters who showed up to interview us for about 40 minutes each. When I received my own interview, the interviewer and I quickly went through the formalities and I told him what I did on a day-to-day basis with my current job. Then he quickly went ahead and asked me a series of 6-7 mechanical and electronical-related questions which looked as if they were taken straight off of a certification test. I didn't expect so many questions thrown at me at once, so was thrown off. It upset me because I had studied the company for weeks up until the interview and all that he asked me were test questions, which I struggled with because I was not familiar with the formulas used in the questions asked. After asking the 7th question, the interviewer asked me what time it was and I told him. He then asked me what time we started. After I replied, he said something along the lines of running late for the next interview and rushed to meet his next interviewee. Needless to say, this was an interview outside of my norm. Though it was a learning experience and the fact that it was an great opportunity to interview with such a prestigious company, I probably won't do it again if I had a choice.
