Long and tedious, around 6 weeks and met with 9 people. All of who I would not be working directly with. This is a support role with no direct team you would be working on.
I applied online. I interviewed at Latham & Watkins
Interview
I interviewed at the Singapore office.
The interview was done by a panelist. Alot of behavioural questions that are not related to work experience and some of the interviewers didn’t seem very serious about the interview. There was also an inappropriate suggestion made by one panelist that I look for alternative childcare arrangements when I work long hours in the office. It didn’t sit well with me and I guess my enthusiasm to interview with them went right out the door after hearing this. I think panelist interviews are overrated, nerve racking and not really effective as there are just too many people in the room shooting questions all over the place and one person trying hard to answer everyone. Based on the odd behavioural questions they asked, I think they were looking for the best speaker/poser and not the best worker for the role.

Question 1
What are the kind of people that irks you the most?
Who would look after your kids when you need to work long hours in the office?
Are you an introvert?
Lengthy interview process with multiple rounds of interviews with people in different departments. Took approximately 5-6 weeks before job offer. I almost didn’t take offer because the process took so mong. May be different now. This was quite a few years ago.
