Applied online and had an initial call with HR, which went well but provided limited information about the role. In the second (technical) interview with the hiring manager, I was informed for the first time that the position was actually a 3 month contract, which contradicted the information previously shared (permanent full time role). While I am open to contract roles, this opportunity involved a very short-term engagement, low compensation, and full exposure to customer assignment risk (as I was told contractors would only be paid when assigned to a client). Given the significant differences in expectations and structure, I felt the role had been materially misrepresented and chose not to proceed further.
