Lions + Tigers interview questions

I had a quick phone screen with a recruiter where they described the type of work they do and companies they work with. The mission of the company really resonated with me, and I was excited to hear back from them. I didn't hear anything for over a month, and when they did respond, the recruiter asked me to take an unpaid writing assessment so I could potentially get work with a 1-5 day turnaround (extremely fast). I suggested they pay writers for the assessment (if it really only takes an hour like she said, it wouldn't be much), and also offered to provide writing samples and references, or do a paid trial project so they could see my abilities in action. The recruiter just said "thanks for the feedback" and that was the last time I interacted with them. Such a bummer because I really liked their structure and mission, but you can't underestimate the value of paying candidates for their labor.
