I applied online and was contacted by one of the companies internal recruiters to setup an initial phone screening. That went well and they provided me with a practice assignment to make changes to an existing github project. The changes I could make were listed in the README. This task was fairly easy and only took about an hour or two. I provided them the link to my changes.
They said they'd get back to me within a week.
After about 2 weeks I hadn't heard anything back from them.
I notified them that I would be in town soon (as I am flying out for some other interviews), if they wanted to partake in a in person interview. They mentioned they still had not reviewed my project submission and if they decided to move forward they would let me know.
Another week pasted with no response from them so I emailed them again asking if there was any update. A few hours later I received an email from a no-reply P3 address saying my skillset doesn't fit their needs.
Overall company seems to be lacking communication or much respect for applicants. From reading other reviews here, I'd say I'm glad I didn't go much further in the interview process with this company.
