      National Account Manager Interview

      5 Feb 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Philips (London, England) in Jan 2018

      Interview

Telephone, first stage cv & competency qs, final stage presentation with LM and sales director. They won’t even offer you a glass of water or drink before the presentation. They will interrogate you in the interviews to the point you don’t know why you were invited to come for an interview, or final interview. The interviewers were all at Philips for 5+ years and felt a bit culty/if joining it wouldn’t be a very open and welcoming culture. Maybe they were trying to interrogate (aggressively not constructively) candidates to test how they perform under pressure like how a buyer might, but not sure this is suitable for a first stage/getting to know what a candidates experience is (post telephone). HR were good and encouraging for first stage, but they did leave me a voicemail job rejection. Companies need to realise the impact of their recruitment processes and their treatment of candidates like a number is not okay.

      National Account Manager Interview

      5 Jun 2017
      Anonymous employee
      Guildford, England
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Philips (Guildford, England) in Mar 2017

      Interview

A 3 stage interview process. Initially I had a telephone interview with the member of the HR team. I then had 2 further face to face interviews, where I was interviewed by Senior members of the sales team. The second interview involved a presentation to the interviewers, after being given data on the current product range to review and present back.

      National Account Manager Interview

      22 Jul 2010
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Philips in Jun 2010

      Interview

Had a friend who worked for the company, and he presented my resume to the hiring manager. Started with HR interview, usual experience. Met with potential manager for initial field interview, standard but very respectful. Flew to Boston area for final interview with VP, again very standard interview techniques, mostly behavioral questions. Many questions about what I knew about the company and products; something I've learned is important to everyone. Culture seemed great. I did not get the position and was very disappointed. Overall, a very good experience.
