Even though I only made it through the phone screen, I'll say that it was one of the worst interview experiences I've ever had. The recruiter for the finance position was 10 minutes late in calling and didn't even send a note saying that she would be. Not only that, but it seemed that she was conducting the interview in the kitchen or some public area, as I could barely hear her over the loud background noise and her whispering. The interviewer was unenthusiastic, judgmental, and seemed like she had made up her mind within 5 minutes of our conversation. She asked very peculiar questions that were unrelated to the position and seemed very fixated on minute details that had no relevance. She paused for long periods of time, asking me to drive the conversation. How was I supposed to know what they were looking for in a candidate, or what points to even touch?
Overall, I felt disrespected by the lack of professionalism from the recruiter's side.
