      Senior Android Developer Interview

      2 Jul 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Dubai
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Revolut (Dubai) in Jun 2026

      Interview

This was my second time applying I had 1 machine coding round where they give you a half baked app and ask you to complete it with follow ups on concurrency questions. 1 system design round focused on mobile and a bit of BE as well. Team fit rounds. I mostly had positive experience but my team fit rounds were not good. It looks like they were rejecting me for any reasons what so ever. I got feedback like over sharing, only communicates with BE and Data and not much with Product, not convincing ans for why to join Revolut. Couldnt connect project with business impact. I had 3 team fit rounds overall - the last one was very horrible and to be honest very disrespectful. When I asked as a team/company culture how do you handle new joinees I got an ans like you either start performing from day 1 or or get fired. Also i had researched some question on the team and prepared some questions to ask them, their reply was I dont have to worry about it as I wont be working on that part of the team. Who answers like this ? complete unprofessional. I do agree the last team fit i blundered a bit but replying to my questions in this way shows what kind of culture they brewing within the company. After the last team fit I wouldnt apply again here. I prefer self respect more that money.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Revolut in Oct 2025

      Interview

The process started well. The recruiter was responsive, kept me updated at each step, and shared helpful preparation materials. The first round was a coding interview. The interviewer was friendly and engaging, and the problem-solving discussion felt collaborative. The interview format was quite “high volume” in terms of questions/pace, but overall this stage was a good experience. The next round was system design. I was asked to solve a business-oriented problem based on a few screenshots. This stage felt significantly less candidate-friendly: the interviewers seemed irritated when I asked clarifying questions, and there was an expectation to quickly define requirements and propose a solution for a Revolut Business–related scenario. In my view, it assumed detailed domain knowledge I hadn’t worked with before and wasn’t provided during the interview. After this round, I was told I was being evaluated at a lower level than originally discussed. Afterwards, there was a team-matching stage. One team declined to proceed, citing “lack of motivation.” That particular conversation was scheduled at 8pm for me on a Friday, which may have affected how I came across. The second team-matching discussion was more productive, but overall I felt the atmosphere became increasingly tense as the process went on. The culture felt more “Russian-style” and not particularly aligned with what I’d expect from a Western company. Overall: strong recruiter experience and a solid first technical round, but the later stages felt unstructured in expectations and less respectful in communication.
