I went through a two-stage online interview process for a Grade 10 role. I performed well and felt confident about both rounds. Later, I was informed by the Senior Analyst – Talent Acquisition that the position was suddenly put on hold. Instead, I was asked if I would consider a lower-level Grade 9 role. As a job seeker, I had no real choice but to accept.
During the Grade 9 interview (1st round), my internet briefly disconnected at the end, right as I was about to thank the interviewers. I immediately reconnected, apologised several times, and explained the situation. Yet, I failed, maybe because of this minor technical glitch, something beyond my control.
Since then, despite multiple follow-ups via phone and email, there has been complete silence, no explanation for my Grade 9 rejection and no clarity on the status of the Grade 10 role.
This reflects a lack of professionalism and fairness. If a company fails to communicate decisions clearly, it raises serious questions about how it treats people and whether it values transparency at all.
