While it took a long time, the process actually suited my skills very well. They provided a presentation topic and asked for a 1 hour presentation including time for questions. They also asked a number of questions on hypothetical situations including technical / leadership, and asked for examples in experience to back it up (though that was harder). Like everywhere, the interview process is a crap shoot and tends to focus on image, but at least there was a little more substance and not just 'can you can along with an HR person who only pretends to care and can't understand anyone technical'.
