Overall interview experience was alright but there seems to be a disconnect between the hiring manager round and the previous technical rounds. Technical rounds were pretty standard in terms of system design or leetcode questions (you'll only know when you're doing the interview itself). For Hiring manager round, the manager seem to only really look at your resume at the time of interview - at this point I've already invested 1 month of my time in the process and went through several round. Little to none technical questions were asked and the manager just seemed disinterested in the profile from the get-go and proceeds to ask template behavioral questions before trying to end the call 30 min earlier than expected. Followed up by receiving an automated rejection in a week time. Would have been better if expectations for specific skillsets or experience were communicated in earlier round by open discussions between HR and HM instead of mindlessly putting through candidates in standard technical interviews which disregarded each candidate’s effort and time. It just seems like a numbers games or quota in terms of interviewees to meet - not really sure whether they are actually serious in hiring since the same job posting were constantly refreshed.
