I interviewed at Singtel

Interview

The interview process was pretty simple and the manager and dept head were nice and friendly, mainly asking behavioural questions as this was an entry level role. However one down side was that the process was a little slow in terms of getting replies.

I applied online. I interviewed at Singtel (Singapore)

Interview

Its a waste of time. I heard from colleagues that hiring manager has the role open for close to 1-2 years and constantly interviewing candidates for 2 years, but did not choose to fill the role at all. What a waste of time.

The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Singtel

Interview

Took over 3 months as HR apparently "lost" the profile after the first 2 rounds. Interviewers themselves were friendly enough. Eventually got the role after 4 rounds of interviews and a written test. Overall process can be improved.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Singtel (Singapore) in Aug 2023

Interview

Whole process took 3 months. was approached by an external recruiter for the role so i decided to interview for it as it was interesting. had 1 round of interview with 2 hiring managers. got a call 1 week later to said they were interested in offering the role to me. salary negotiations lasted for 1 month (HR was very unresponsive. i had to nudge them to find out if they were willing to match the expectations which eventually they did not agree). was given a very short time of 2-3 days to decide on whether i wanted to accept the job. eventually decided to take on the role so i verbally accepted the role but then did not hear back from them. so after 2 weeks i enquired on the status of the job and when the start date/contract would be sent over to me. was told multiple times that they were still discussing internally on some matters and eventually after 3 long months, i was told that they decided not to hire for the role anymore. furthermore, their HR sent me an email saying that they were sorry that i had rejected the role when in fact i accepted it. overall an extremely unpleasant encounter and experience with Singtel. truly unprofessional and unethical practices with terrible communication. if you have a change in mind admit it instead of sending a completely false email to the candidate.

If employers are shopping cheap, should we just apply for roles that we're less qualified for?

I had an interview late August, sent a thank you the same day, followed up when they said they would get back to me, and then again a week later and I got no response. I gave up and they just sent me an email saying the position was on hold and they hoped to have an update at the end of the week. I'd still like to see what they might offer me so what could I say in response?
