I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Slalom (Montreal, QC) in Aug 2025
Interview
Interview went good. I didnt to next round. Questions were mostly about technologies I showed on my resume and context I used them for. Despite the very decent experience I had it wasnt matching 100% what they want and here is their feedback:
Thanks for the time earlier this week, I enjoyed the chance to make the intro.
After meeting with the hiring manager, they’ve unfortunately decided to move forward with a few other candidates at this time. The primary reason being there were others in consideration that brought experience working in a similar consulting environment that the team felt aligned best to the need.
Let me know if you have any questions or would like additional context. Hope to keep in touch for future opportunities.

Question 1
What are you doing in X project I saw on your resume?
How you answer a consulting usecase that has X description?
if we have team of data scientists and data engineers working on X project with Y tools where do you see yourself more contributing?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Slalom (Denver, CO) in Sept 2024
Interview
I had many rounds of interviews with Slalom. I was contacted by a recruiter over linkedin.
These are the interviews I had:
1) screen call
2) behavioral
3) technical
4) culture fit
I was told that I had made it to the final round "culture fit" interview.
That culture fit interview went really well and I could tell the guy enjoyed the conversation. I felt very positive about getting an offer, however I was contacted by the recruiter, and they set up a call to meet. This was an over the phone rejection. Which is frustrating because the reason was that I didn't have enough technical skill, but then why did I even have a culture fit interview? The recruiter definitely did his best to make me feel like I was going to get a job out of this.
Why waste my time and have me get on the phone just to reject me? I had to wait a full 24 hours and schedule a time slot just to get rejected??
It was interesting to hear a lot of similar feedback for Slalom on here. They drag things out to make it as optimal for the business and thats really not cool when you are dealing with peoples livelihood.
