      Front End Developer Interview

      2 Mar 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Snubes in Feb 2022

      Interview

Process was quick and a total of 4 interviews + coding challenge. Initial interview with the HR, general questions about your experience. Coding challenge. 2nd interview: Technical of 90 mins, with several questions from javascript, react, css, and html. 3rd interview: 70 mins to test your analytical problem solving, creative thinking & innovation, teamwork & collaboration and so on. Prepare to have some riddles. 4th interview: 60 mins with the CEO. Prepare to get a lot of "why's". My interview with the CEO was cut short, for no explained reason. It felt like it ended well but a few days later, I got a standard rejection email with no feedback. The intention of having a good interview process is there. But the" by the book", "fresh from uni" technical questions is off. It doesn't really tell much about the developer. The interview with the CEO, started with "I'm gonna ask you a lot of why's" felt like he had to cover a list of questions without really listening. For the way I was rejected with a standard rejection email, after the time spent on the process, I'm glad not receiving an offer. It wouldn't have been a match.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

technical: closure, hoisting, event bubbling ... CEO: what is a feedback you received recently? why you are changing job? why you become a developer?

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Snubes (Berlin) in Feb 2022

      Interview

The process took four stages. First was a take-home test which I think was a better test of knowledge for a Frontend developer. Afterward was an interview with the lead frontend developer speaking about your task, tech, and tools in general all very job-related. Next, was more like an intelligence/reasoning interview with the lead backend and frontend both present. Lasting about 40-60mins. The last stage was a call with the CEO to talk more about you and what inspires you in general. I find this more the culture fit test. From the get-go, I think you can already tell what the decision would be. Got a response the same day a few hours apart - a pretty fast response.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Fundamental Javascript questions like Hoisting and Event bubbling.
