      Software Engineer Interview

      20 Jun 2022
      Anonymous employee
      Vienna
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sportradar (Vienna) in Mar 2021

      Interview

I was interviewed by a product owner and a chapter lead. They gave me an introduction about themselves, what their roles are and what they've been working on. Then I did the same and shared my experiences, what projects I've been working on, what tech stack I'm most familiar with, etc. Had a couple of questions about OOP principles, coding standards, TDD and unit tests, design principles. Nothing strict, this part felt like a casual conversation. At the end I was given a critical thinking task, where we discussed what the possible solution could be ( also, pretty friendly and not strict ). After the interview, I was sent an email that I passed the first round and was given a coding challenge to do in 1-2 weeks preferably. The challenge was pretty straightforward and clear, nothing unreasonably hard. The focus was for them to see how I structure the code, do I test it properly, do I package it the right way etc.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

What do you feel about TDD and do you like writting Unit tests for your code?

      Interview

I face 4 rounds of interview. First round was a HR round (30 min) in which the HR asked me some general questions (mostly related to my CV). After that there were two coding rounds. First was a vibe coding round where I have to develop a simple LLM system, I was given 1 week to comple this. Second was a DSA question. The difficulty level was basic to medium. Finally there was a last technical + cultural fit round of 45 min.

      Interview

Too many steps and too much time needed for the entire process. I ended up accepting the offer from the other company. Standard questions, if you are well prepared you will be ok.

      Software Engineer Interview

      26 May 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sportradar

      Interview

I have an interview. Fundamental introductory interview. Then a coding challenge. The coding challenge was simple and straightforward. After submission, I received a rejection email with feedback. The feedback was mostly incorrect. I don't know how they evaluate submissions. Then they ghosted. I won't apply to this company again.
