The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Tableau Software (Seattle, WA) in Jun 2012
Interview
Initial communication was good - had several email interactions and then on to phone interviews.
Went to their Seattle HQ for the in person interview a week or so after the phone interviews. Had 3 face to face interviews, all of which went extremely well.
Then on to the demo. About 2 minutes in the VP started saying things like - who cares, or what does that have to do with BI, or when are you going to show me something relevant? Very hostile, and it went downhill from there. Basically didn’t let me finish any of the use cases I had prepared. In my 12 years selling enterprise software, I have never encountered a demo environment so disrespectful and hostile.
I can't believe an up and coming company with such a great reputation would be so unprofessional! Definitely not a company I would want to work for, if that is how they treat their future potential employees.

Interview
A Skype interview with the recruiter who was totally unfriendly, was not looking at me during the interview. He didn't seem to be interested in the process, however the feedback was positive
The process with the recruiter was easy to schedule the interviews. The actual interview was a panel process with managers in multiple departments. I had 2 follow up interviews that were scheduled over a 3 week period. The actual interview process was long and drawn out. I had to send multiple emails to follow up to find out I didn't get the position.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Tableau Software
Interview
It was awful process, I did 3 interviews and succeeded all of them and after 2 months of back and forth emails, I have been told that they were not able to send me an offer because of changes to the position they previously advertised. They have the worst recruitment process ever and their recruiters especially in EMEA are not professional at all.
