I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Houston Chronicle (Houston, TX)
I went through 2 rounds of interview. One on the phone with the recruiter and the second with the hiring manager. Both interviews were very kind and I was very comfortable talking with them
- What’s my experience in sales

Anonymous Interview Candidate
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Houston Chronicle in Jan 2022
Too many interviews. Multiple assessments that take multiple hours to finish. Rushed through each interview. Interviewers were disinterested, dismissive & rude. Massive waste of time & energy, stay away unless you're exactly what you're looking for - but good luck; they won't tell you what they're looking for.
- Q: If your life was a book, what chapter is your life right now? Q: What are three things you're good at and three things you're bad at. Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

3 rounds of interview. 1st - general intro about yourself and your experience with the HR 2nd - in-depth questions with Account Director (your boss) 3rd - Demo proposal presentation to the director and the VP. They will give you a mock question to prepare a presentation for your final interview round. The boss can be good and help you plan.
- What were your goals in past role?

Anonymous Interview Candidate
I applied online. I interviewed at The Houston Chronicle
HR representative was unresponsive after initial reach out. Followed up multiple times and was unable to connect for the phone call they asked for. Ultimately withdrew application for position.
- No interview questions asked.

Anonymous Employee in Houston, TX
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at The Houston Chronicle (Houston, TX) in Jul 2018
My interview process was of meetings with three different levels of editors. The first two interviews with two different editors (who I would be answering to on a daily basis) were professional and courteous. Their questions were related to the position. Overall, pretty laid back and friendly. The last interview with a higher level editor went well at first, but went off the rails when I was asked about my ethnic background. I was stunned and should have complained with HR about this inappropriate question.
- What will be your first steps in covering your beat?

I applied online. I interviewed at The Houston Chronicle
Pretty standard. It was for the call center, so I was asked questions like "how would you handle this situation", or "what was the most complicated situation you had to deal with with a customer in your last job".

It was a group inter view with all the applicants. We got to listen to the calls the other reps were handling in order to make sure we believed we could assist the customers
