I applied online. Their initial response came within a few weeks. I first had a brief discussion with HR, then in a few days proceeded to an interview with a vice president and a senior writer. They indicated that they've been having difficulties filling the role to which I applied. We discussed my interest in the role and how my background fits with their needs. The interview seemed to go well: they told me that my background is appropriate and versatile, and I'd quickly get a handle on their procedures. I was told to expect to hear back on next steps in about a week. After a little over 2 weeks, I inquired with HR, who said that I was not selected and they're continuing their candidate search.
