I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Uber

      Interview

Was contacted through Linkedin by their regional Sourcer asking if I was interested in hearing more. One phone interview with Sourcer, followed by Quant test, one phone interview by a Launcher, followed by a Creative Exercise, three video interviews with GMs. Standard tests and fairly standard interviews with heavy emphasis on practical "what would you do" situational (strategic and tactical) questions. I'm in a fairly senior position currently and was first a little amused by having to crank excel tests and the like but as I was curious decided to see through the process. After Creative test I heard nothing for weeks, then all of a sudden there was a mad rush to book interviews. Finally, after having invested well over 20 hours in exercises and interviews I heard nothing for weeks. After prompting the HR person responsible for the process, after a week I received a standard "..we've decided to go in another direction..." email. With closer inspection the email didn't even come from the HR Director in question but from their outside HR partner... Now, I'm under no illusion of being any more special than other candidates and thus deserve no special attention or treatment. However, the complete lack of professionalism and disregard (which ends being perceived as disrespect) to candidates by their HR was astounding, during the process and at the end of it. The fact that you have put in place a standardized process and steps doesn't imply that nobody needs to manage or watch over it, or the process turns against itself and feels exploitative by the candidates. Sure, they must be busy hiring tons of people, but if this is the norm, Uber HR has a lot of growing up to do.

      Interview

The hiring manager interview I recently had was outstanding. They were professional, genuinely interested, and created a relaxed atmosphere. Their insightful questions allowed me to showcase my skills and expertise effectively. They provided transparent insights into the company's culture and emphasized the importance of collaboration. Overall, it was a positive experience that left me motivated and excited about the potential of working in such a supportive environment.

      Interview

Was very rude treatment, late start, joining halfway through a case presentation asking questions that have already been covered. This was after 1 week of preparation and several rounds on interviews.

      Interview

Took weeks between each interaction. Guess it was because they hadn't decided 100% to move into the market where I'm located, but still. Ended up with nothing that I guess was the best for both parties.
