I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Wells Fargo (Hyderābād) in Jul 2016
Interview
No Interview process at all.I was asked by the consulting agency to be in their office by around 9.40 I had been there by around 9.30 had to wait for 3 hours before been let to talk to the contact HR person.
The reason for being late was a silly reason which was the same for the remaining candidates.
After frequent calls to HR who sits in another City instead of the city where interview is being held.
Around 11.45 another HR lady comes , does not acknowledge other candidates ,calls one name escorts him and does not either come to state how many minutes the interview will be etc.
Finally had enough since its a working day and had no plan to take leave for such company which cannot show basic respect for the candidates time who had come to attend the interview on weekday .
The best part was that all the candidates where not even allowed inside the floor , instead the security made us wait near the lift door as if we are door men.The reason for such an action was the concerned contact person had to escort us inside.
Also, after waiting for 3 hours!!! they had only one interview panel.
They had 3 rounds.
1) Pre screening hackerrank test.
2) The 1st round tested coding skills in which they asked to solve 2 leetcode medium questions with interviewer on call.
3) Managerial round being about past projects and managerial questions.
The interview was good. After the behavioral questions I got asked a bunch of OOP and high level system design questions. The interviewer was polite throughout and gave me hints when I was stuck or couldn't remember something specifically.
I applied online. I interviewed at Wells Fargo (Compton, CA) in Feb 2026
Interview
The recruiter was helpful and professional, and took the time to explain the process and the role in detail.
However, my experience with the hiring manager was less positive. During the conversation it felt like the communication style was quite condescending, with an assumption that others lacked understanding of the topics being discussed.
Overall, the recruiting process itself was organized well, but the interaction with the hiring manager made me reconsider whether this would be the right team environment for me.
