I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Zendesk (San Francisco, CA) in Aug 2015
Interview
The interview process started with talking to the recruiter which then moved to hiring manager and a senior developer from the team before they flew me to SF. On-site interview was rigorous in terms of meeting lot of people but it was great experience to meet lot of different people and understanding the company and position from different perspective. I talked to almost 6-7 people on the interview day.

Most of it was walking through the resume and experiences and challenges in past project.
There were lot of technical questions on one of the Skype interview and white board with a developer on site. Everything dealt with covering the basics and general knowledge of CS.
1st round HR round then a screen round with Engineering manager, and then a live coding test with 2 engineers.
I got rejected after the coding test so don't know the process beyond it.
