A recruiter working at frog contacted me out of the blue asking if I would like to come in for an interview. I hadn't applied, so I assume he found my profile on LinkedIn. I said yes (was curious what it was all about). He then asked what time, I gave him a time and then... radio silence. It's been a few weeks now so I can assume he is not going to invite me for an interview. However, my complaint is this: - my entire profile is on LinkedIn. Why not read it first and *then* decide if you want to contact me? Not contact me first, and then decide later I am not who you want. - even if you do not find out about my bg 'till later, is it so hard to send a one line email that states "We've decided to go a different way?" No, it is not. It is courteous to the person you have contacted. Believe me, I don't care about not going on the interview because I have a great job that I am sure pays more. But jeez, please don't waste my time. It makes your company look really bad and unprofessional. I won't be applying here in the future.
