Your Career
As the Director of Technical Services Architect for JAPAC, you will lead the premier architecture organization responsible for guiding our most strategic enterprise customers through complex security modernization journeys. In this role, you will oversee an elite, dual-function theater team comprising SOC Transformation Architects and Customer Success Architects across our diverse and fast-paced growth theater, spanning Australia & New Zealand (ANZ), ASEAN, Greater China, India, and Korea.
This is an elite, high-visibility leadership position designed for an enterprise architecture consulting veteran who excels at bringing clarity to technical complexity and translating infrastructure milestones into measurable business outcomes. You will act as the vital strategic bridge between regional theater execution and global strategy, partnering directly with global engineering and practice teams to co-define, standardize, and continually mature our worldwide architectural practices. Navigating varying sub-regional cloud maturity levels, fragmented local competitive landscapes, and strict regional data residency frameworks, you will champion a platform-first approach. Your ultimate mission is to ensure JAPAC's largest organizations successfully transition from siloed legacy security tools to an integrated, automated, and AI-driven security ecosystem combining Cortex (XSIAM + SOAR) and Prisma Cloud.
Your Impact
Leadership, Practice Betterment & Global Alignment
Lead and Scale Architect Teams: Direct, inspire, and scale a high-performing technical organization of principal-level SOC and Customer Success Architects across multiple cultures, languages, and time zones in JAPAC.
Global Practice Collaboration: Partner aggressively with Global Practice Leaders, Services Product Management, and Engineering to co-define, refine, and mature architectural practices, ensuring JAPAC regional insights directly influence global delivery blueprints.
Define Regional Improvement Programs: Architect, implement, and run programmatic theater-wide improvement initiatives that up-level delivery methodologies, standardize technical blueprints, and systematically eliminate practice inconsistencies.
Drive Platformization Strategy: Champion the integrated Palo Alto Networks platform strategy (XSIAM + Prisma Cloud), directing your architecture teams to design end-to-end target states that collapse customer operational silos and unlock exponential value.
Regional Intelligence & Customer Strategy
Executive Technical Sponsorship: Act as the ultimate technical advisor and executive escalation point for JAPAC enterprise client CISOs, CIOs, and CXOs during critical value reviews and complex architectural turning points.
Navigate GRC and Local Context: Ensure architectural designs support complex operational security requirements alongside regional enterprise governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) frameworks (e.g., APRA, IRAP, Personal Data Protection Acts, and local data residency laws).
Business Flexibility & Collaboration: Maintain a grounded, collaborative alliance with Regional Sales and channel partners, offering the strategic business flexibility necessary to engineer win-win outcomes in high-value enterprise negotiations.
Operational & Business Outcomes
Optimize Core Delivery Metrics: Enforce skill excellence across sub-regions, driving strong team deployment
Accelerate Time-to-Value (TTV): Radically compress Time to Value and Time to Deploy (TTD) by modernizing deployment frameworks, automating legacy playbooks, and strengthening architectural lifecycle practices.
Proactive Risk Mitigation: Utilize data-backed insights to flag architectural anomalies or delivery capacity issues early, correcting regional deviations before they impact theater-wide CSAT and service health KPIs.
Qualifications
Your Experience
Industry Tenure: 12+ years of professional services, technical services, or elite architecture consulting experience within a fast-paced, high-growth SaaS or cybersecurity environment.
Leadership Record: 5+ years of direct people management experience leading, coaching, and scaling matrixed, multi-country teams of principal enterprise architects or technical consultants.
Consulting & Improvement Expertise: Proven track record in enterprise architecture consulting with documented success defining continuous operational improvement programs and collaborating with global cross-functional practices.
Technical Domain Mastery: Deep technical depth across modern SOC Operations (SIEM, SOAR, XSIAM) and Cloud Security (CNAPP, Prisma Cloud); comprehensive understanding of point solutions versus integrated platformization architectures.
Executive Influence: Exceptional communication skills and executive presence; highly skilled at winning trust and influencing alignment across Product Management, Sales VPs, and client C-suite executives.
Scale Capability: Demonstrated ability to govern large programs and scale architecture practices
Geographic Agility: Willingness and flexibility to travel up to 40% across the JAPAC region, with occasional global travel to corporate headquarters in Santa Clara, CA.
Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline is required (Master's/MBA preferred). Industry-recognized security credentials (e.g., CISSP, CCSK, TOGAF, or equivalent platform architecture certifications) are strongly preferred.
