Diversity Programs & Initiatives

Creating a Culture of Belonging

Culture is inherent – it’s not manufactured, but fostered by the voices involved.

At Capital One we take finding new coworkers pretty seriously. We don’t just want you to work here – we want you to belong. That means feeling seen, heard, valued and free to be your authentic self.

We’re on a mission to build a team as diverse as the customers we innovate for and serve everyday. So that we can be a place of opportunity, where team members from all backgrounds feel welcomed, inspired and driven to build fulfilling careers.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (United States)

    Interview

First round talk with recruiter, second an online coding assessment. Poor process for a senior manager who hasn't coded consistently in several years. They present 4 difficult algorithm problems and expect you to implement them in an hour. Many new CS graduates wouldn't be able to complete them in the time allotted. Unless you are a very strong coder and have recent hands on experience, I would not recommend applying.
    Interview

Typical medium level algorithmic leetcode type problems.
