Getting Worse

Pros

Lots of freedom. How much of an impact you make on your projects is completely up to you. You will be neither rewarded nor punished. You can get by like this for years. Peers are generally great folks.

Cons

The company is going in the wrong direction. Zero logic to compensation. The only way I've heard people getting raises is getting offers from other companies. Leadership is great at "consulting" to their employees, ie, making them think they care, but when it comes to putting their money where their mouth is, it shows that they don't.
