Pros

I cannot think of any pros to be completely honest. They will promise a lot things, but be unable to live up to any of them — at least in my experience. I genuinely would not be able to recommend this company to anyone in good faith. I just don’t have anything good to say.

Cons

I don’t know if things are different in the other offices around the world, but it was terrible where I was at. I didn’t like how it ran more like a family office than a multi-national business, where favouritism is rife and there is a lack of professionalism, especially within the upper management, who are not above resorting to personal attacks if don’t like what you have to say. Expect this same unprofessionalism when it comes to their internal processes as well. In the office I worked, there was also a lack of opportunity. They would say that they had a pipeline coming in during town halls, but it just didn’t reflect the reality on the ground with the revolving door of consultants quitting and the number of people who were on the bench. There was no feeling of stability. I think the number of people who join and then quit speaks for itself. Also, the company appears to not have much money because things like funding for certifications were postponed indefinitely as well as a close to non-existent budgets for events. But what pushed me out in the end is their local management, and unfair treatment of employees as they will most certainly prioritise hiring over talent retention. After watching so many people leave in such a short time, I knew I couldn’t stay. This is my experience, and I’m sure there are others (the favourites of the bosses) who will exalt the merits of the company, so take this review and balance it with the rest to make your own assessment. For me, I would say try somewhere else before you consider this.

We are disappointed to read about your experience of Capco. We always strive to provide a first-class employee experience, and look for ways to continually improve on this, taking into account colleague feedback. Contrary to your comments, we have low attrition at Capco, and we are focused on engaging and retaining talent in a number of ways, including through dedicated training programs, twice-yearly promotion cycles, Affinity and employee community groups, and regular access to leadership. We have also adapted our hiring activities in order to prioritize the resourcing of our current employees. We have clear policies and procedures in place in relation to our internal processes and professional conduct. If a colleague has concerns or would like to share feedback or an idea to improve a process, they are encouraged to do so by reaching out to one of our leaders or function leads. We also offer an independent reporting hotline for any concerns with regards to behavior. Our town hall events are frequently used to share updates on the business pipeline and wins. Many businesses are facing challenges in the current economic climate, and at times that has meant taking a more strategic or creative approach to internal events and other initiatives at Capco. That said, we have continued to offer training and events, our client relationships and outlook remain strong, and our leadership team is seasoned at leading businesses through such periods of change and focused on successfully navigating the current environment.
