Pros

15/hr training is good. 13hr with increases the better you are at typing. This is pretty good. It's not the worst.

Cons

If you have bad hearing, or are not the most efficient typer, I wouldn't recommend working here. They will bump your pay if you're not good at what you do. It's also mind numbing, and there's not as flexible of a schedule as you would expect from this sort of job.

Pros

Flexibility to make your own schedule, and simple to adjust when life events come up. Some work-from-home options with provided training and hardware. Great for independent workers or night owls like myself! This job was truly a lifesaver for me after being laid off from Covid closures and being a year and a half out of the workforce. Having to find a job where I could work from home during the pandemic and not exacerbate medical issues was an absolute must for my situation, and this job delivered that in spades to me. I have been working here since April/May of 2021 and have been working my way up through milestones and personal metrics after getting comfortable with the job. Nothing can be perfect, but this job is as close as can be for my needs. There is always a way to get in touch with management, and they truly listen to their worker's needs and grievances when applicable.

Cons

Any cons I would have with this job are already being addressed so there is no reason to reiterate them here.

Pros

-make your own schedule -salary is consistent during training and typically increases after -frequent helpful meetings to discuss how to improve -don’t have to deal with customers

Cons

-looking at a computer for long periods of time -has impossible standards for completing training -can only take a 10 minute break before you’re forced to take a 30 minute break even if you don’t want to -very tiring and boring -if you schedule yourself from 1-5 you don’t leave at 5, you leave when you’ve done 4 hours of work and anytime you stop typing takes away from your time. so basically if you want to leave at 5, you have to constantly type for 4 hours straight with no breaks

Thank you for the feedback! The job certainly involves a lot of time spent at a computer. Since our clients expect us to be familiar with the terminology and lingo of their industries, there is definitely a learning curve. As well, our clients expect a fast turnaround time on their transcriptions. So all of our scheduling is based on knowing how much time our transcriptionists are committing to work. It sounds like perhaps we could or should have set up your schedule differently to have been better for you.

Pros

Management is nice and there is adequate training provided for you to make higher than minimum wage if you desire.

Cons

Pay structure and the fact that the “flexible scheduling” allows the company to avoid providing paid 30 minute breaks.

Thank you for your honest review! We're pleased to hear that you were satisfied with the friendly management team in our Athens office and the training provided by that team. We love training new transcriptionists and watching their skills grow with time and practice! We are however saddened to know that you weren't as satisfied with our compensation or break policies. Our unparalleled scheduling flexibility gives you the ability to take breaks as needed to make the job better for you and fit it around your lifestyle. We do offer paid breaks within reason, and give you the ability to track the amount of breaks taken. Our compensation structure is also competitive in that you can take the intensive training given upon hire and use it that along with our numerous resources to push yourself to make higher rates of pay, up to $13/hour! This job is best suited for those who are willing to compete with themselves daily to beat their scores from the previous day and work toward our performance metrics. We thank you again for this feedback and wish you all the best in this new year!

Thank you for the great feedback! We appreciate your review and the time you spent with us in your QA position. We're so glad that you enjoyed the flexibility to make your own schedule, the training we provided, and the production-based pay. I'm not sure what you meant by there being problems with comp structure consistency, so I'll just attempt to respond to what I assume you mean. Your hourly rate can vary each pay period as it is determined by the production metrics you hit in that period. The parameters don't change and are always available on our employee website for viewing, as up-to-date stats. I hope that was helpful! Again, thank you so much for your time with us and for the positive feedback! We wish you the best.

Pros

Great work/life balance. Friendly and helpful supervisors and managers, lots of training, flexible scheduling, predictable daily tasks, positive atmosphere

Cons

Confusing pay scale, prone to slow seasons with less work, if you get the job but barely pass the typing test you'll never make the big bucks

Pros

This job is amazingly flexible when it comes to time. Remote work is an option for more experienced scribes. If you are someone who prefers to be left alone while working, this would be a great job. The managers here are tolerable, and the job has plenty of training for new workers.

Cons

The pay is really mediocre, and the bonuses are incredibly difficult to achieve. Less than 10% of scribes earn more than $1/hr bonuses, which I'm sure is by design. This is not a job someone should take if they are trying to pay actual bills; this is more so for college students that don't have any real expenses.
