Pros
Benifits are good, They are the only reason I stay with this company. If you like overtime, you'll get plenty of it and not by choice.
Cons
I have never felt so unappreciated from a company. They will drive the good work ethic right out of your system. If you excel, they will expect more and then spit in your face rather than reward you. I was excited when I got this job. I thought I was gonna have a good career job. If I'd only known the truth. Every co-worker I have is looking for a new job, including me. We all are threatened almost daily about termination. And several guys I know have been fired over the smallest things lately. Almost seems like AT&T is trying to push out the guys who are topped out in pay and replace us with new guys at lower pay. They are trying to find dirt on everyone so they can pull together enough stuff to justify firing you. If you're a great employee, it doesn't matter because you're still more expensive than a new guy. The turnover has been around 60% this year in my department. SCARRY. That is just the beginning of the whole nightmar that is AT&T. Forced 20 hours a week of overtime. You cannot call in sick ever. If you do in your first year as an employee it is a writeup. Next time is termination. They change the rules constantly and then try to hang you on something that has supposedly changed, but, you were never informed of the change. It is unbelieveable to me how this company even functions. I can tell you right now that it is not because of the micromanagement system that they use, but rather the employees who make the difference. I will be so happy when I am either terminated or I find a new job and leave this hellhole. Would not have my enemy work at AT&T an outside technician.
