Cabot will often host professors and researchers to talk about the latest trends in industry or science, the seminars are often open to everybody. - They will often pay for webinars or short courses to help you gain knowledge and help you perform your job better -Great opportunity to work in a high-tech environment with a lot of great people -They offer a very generous 401(k) benefit.
Cons
- There are almost no opportunities for advancement. - Pay is below market value in all entry level positions. - They value more degrees and credentials rather than experience and accomplishments. - It's a very politicized environment for everything (promotions, approvals, strategy, etc) - Getting clear on expectations and speaking straight is not a priority, it's a very secretive organization. - There are a lot of egos and a lot of the decisions are made by people who have no clue what is going on -Knee jerk reactions are very common in the company and a lot of programs and strategies get started due to a knew jerk reaction -Their approach to safety is mind numbing and bothersome, everything is surrounded with red tape so that even simple tasks become time consuming and inefficient
