Pros

I have been working for Capco for 3 years and so far have had a great experience. The senior management team create a culture that is inclusive and supportive, and have maintained this even though the company is going through a huge growth spurt. Training is excellent and readily available. There is an active coaching community and the recognition process is fair and transparent. Projects I have worked on have been rewarding and value add to the clients.

Cons

As the company grows the existing performance management process is taking up a huge amount of resources and time to complete, and therefore needs to to be reviewed for streamlining where possible. I can already see improvements in this area however. Internal services such as technical support need to grow inline with the growth of the business in order to continue to adequately support.

Thank you for your comments and it's great to hear your enthusiasm for Capco in your review. We agree that Capco is a very special place to work and offers lots of opportunities to develop a rewarding career. As you mention, the rapid growth of the firm coupled with the transition to independence has placed some short-term pressure on some of our internal functions including IT, but there is a continued focus on improving these evidenced by the introduction of new technology and a global service desk. A significant amount of time is invested in the performance management process to ensure that this is a robust and fair process, however your feedback is noted and will be shared with the team to see where it can be streamlined further. If you have any particular suggestions that you would like to share, please reach out to your local HR representative to discuss. Thanks for your continued contribution to the firm!

Pros

Varied client work — Different clients and project types, which keeps things interesting. Real project mobility — You can move between projects when you advocate for yourself (within reason). Approachable leadership — Senior leaders are open to conversations if you reach out. Good development resources — Plenty of training and growth opportunities if you take advantage of them. Strong teams — Colleagues are smart, capable, and great to work with. Entrepreneurial environment — New ideas are encouraged, and there’s room to take initiative.

Cons

Long hours vary by project — Like most any professional job, some engagements require extended hours for prolonged periods, but work–life balance really depends on the client and team. Additional internal responsibilities — Depending on level, there can be a significant amount of firm‑support work outside of client delivery. Domain alignment not guaranteed — You may not always be staffed on projects that match your domain expertise. Coaching alignment constraints — Coaching relationships are tied to domain, which limits flexibility in choosing formal mentors. Long engagements (sometimes) — Some projects run for long durations or through multiple extensions. It can provides stability but may reduce variety in client and project experience depending on what you’re looking for.
