Pros

Big Name in banking world Good for workaholics people Challenging workplace Good for people who had already worked in Citi atmosphere.

Cons

There are many, one can think, especially if you are hired at CITI Arena Budapest, GPA project for Reg reporting. The process is messy and confused. Hierarchy issue within people. Managers have a lot of attitude. Superior and junior differences. Lot of people are hired from external vendor company, hence their mindsets remains same of serving the Client. Management pressurize one to overdo and threatens you during the probation period about how they fired people or what are their stricter policies, especially if you are non- Hungarian or expat. No laptops or home setup supported, even they agreed during joining time. Different treatment received if you are non-hungarian and hungarian, in a racist way. Non-English speaking predominates the office environment. New hires receives no welcome from the team or make comfortable with team and management. No feedback or regular meetups between team members. Senior employees feels to be not reachable, with delay response and ignoring. Managers are rude in their communication. No open work meeting sessions or with just few people speaking. Very tensed atmosphere. No regular one to one with management. Also very rigid company policy for travel, no working from another country and working from home (3d from office per week). People in the team gives derogatory comments to behind non-Hungarian people and laughing to be friends with them.

Pros

- Opportunity for Mobility and career growth, cross functional collaboration, global organization - Amazing mentors, colleagues and collaborative mindset - Volunteer Culture

Cons

- Mobility can be challenging w/o a sponsor. - Depending on departments, fast moving and may impact work-life balance. - depending on the team, you might encounter micromanagers or teams that may be selective with mobility. Though inevitable in some instances, if you are aware of team dynamics and team culture, employee could mitigate or manage/avoid this risk.
