Pros

-Citi is a great place to start your career and it comes with a lot of recourses and a lot of growth opportunities - Beautiful campus with a lot of nice people - 2 days mandatory in-person which is a nice flexibility

Cons

- Severe lack of communication - Lack of choice in the rotations you get (you do "interviews" but your rankings mean nothing) - If you get a bad rotation you are just stuck in a a bad situation for a year which is hard - Pay for the Tampa office is severely lacking with how expensive the Tampa cost of living. No one entering the program would be able to afford a one bedroom apartment on their own without spending over 50% of your monthly income

Pros

Hybrid schedule, supportive managers, opportunities

Cons

Once you’re in, comp basically plateaus. Layoffs are happening across the board, which tends to be the full-time culture of citi. The vibe is very much “run lean” until something actually breaks, and only then consider adding headcount. You have to be intentional about protecting your work-life balance, because the implicit expectation is that you’re always on—24/7, 365—without the support of a properly staffed team.
