Pros
- Ability to make an impact. There are countless opportunities to take on responsibilities or areas of ownership that will have an impact on all Epic customers, which extends to a huge part of the US population. There are also opportunities for industry collaboration and influence through standards and working with other vendors. This is the most motivating part of my role. - Smart and engaged coworkers - most people care about the mission and doing what we can to make healthcare better for patients. I trust that my coworkers will get things done at a high quality. - Culinary and lunches are incredible - The campus, and private offices contribute a ton to productivity. - Madison is a great city with a ton going on - Benefits can't be beat if you're single
Cons
- For a work/life balance, you need to learn what your limit is, and make sure that's taken into account with your workload. - Parental leave could be improved, especially compared to other tech companies.
